Once trees have been debarked, they are run through the mill’s saw blades and cut to production dimensions. Once there is enough lumber to cut, it is put into a heated kiln and dried. The lumber is then put through a planer where it is planed down to finished dimensions. This planing process produces shavings. This product is dry, flakey, and about the size of your fingernail. Shavings are excellent for inside barn use for bedding animals. This helps keep them clean and dry.
